Featuring:

The Reading Parade – The parade started on the steps of Newcomer. Rob kicked things off and we walked to Russo. Spectators cheered us on from the grass around the sidewalk. Once at Russo, we sat facing the podium. Ms. Inge, Ms. Meredith and Dr. Kate did a short reading, and then Superintendent Rob and Dr. Josh read a short poem.

Choir by the Campfire – All three of the choir classes joined Ms. Lynnie at the campfire on campus. Each class got to experience the joy of singing the outdoors, while taking in the sounds and smell of the campfire.

Dyed Braille Paper Activity – We read the book, Boo Stew, as a class. Then the kids made their own gross recipes. We dyed braille paper using shaving cream and food dye. Finally, they brailled their recipes on the colored braille paper. They had a lot of fun.
