MSB’s Statewide Outreach Services offer expertise and specialized skills to Maryland students, from birth to age 21, with visual impairment and additional disabilities, their families, and local school system staff through a variety of programs and services.
MSB’s Outreach staff consist of highly qualified Teachers of the Visually Impaired, Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, highly trained paraeducators, a Certified Low Vision Specialist, a doctorate-level Psychologist, and a Parent Coordinator.
We have programs for:
- Infant and Toddler services
- Preschool through Age 21
- Training programs for professionals and community partners
In partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education, MSB offers two additional statewide services.
- Staff who provide these services work closely with MSB’s Outreach programs to promote student success and independence in their local school systems.
- MIRC provides adapted instructional materials for visually impaired students.
